Spacing and distances for planting trees

Spacing and distances for planting trees.

In order to properly determine the spacing between planted trees, the achieved size must be taken into account, and most of all the reach of the crown. Trees planted for plastic and decorative purposes should be provided with spatial conditions enabling the formation of appropriate solid and habitual features of the crowns.. Too small planting spacing causes, that trees, closing the crowns, they distort, and thus their habitual value is reduced or lost at all. Some parts of the crowns deprived of light may also die. Shorter planting spacing may be used in composed tree arrangements provided, that it is done consciously, with the intention of removing parts of trees of a certain age. But to be able to act this way, a properly developed design concept and proper documentation should be provided. One must add here, that with proper economy, trees that are removed can be an excellent material, suitable for replanting. Short spacing between trees is used very often when planting trees, which are not about the use of decorative values for specific compositions, but only creating compact massifs of trees in the shortest possible time. However, trees planted at greater intervals always develop better and are much healthier, and performing various beauty treatments with them is easier. Under the loosely spaced trees, it is possible to use many plants in different types of cover, park fleece, and even the maintenance of the lawn. It is very difficult to maintain any vegetation on the soil surface under overly compacted trees. Designers are increasingly required to arrange trees in such a way in a specific area, which does not obstruct the movement of high-performance lawn mowers.

The trees planted should not come into conflict with various devices, buildings, etc.; this applies to both the above-ground and underground parts of these plants. The permissible minimum distances for planting trees from various elements are regulated by special regulations. So keep your distance at least 4 m from the building, 2 m from the poles of the traction and lighting network, 0,75 m from the edge of roads for pedestrian traffic, 2 m from the road curb, 2 m from the gas line, 2 m from the edge of the heat network channel, 1 m from the water and sewage lines, 1,5 m from the lines of electric cables, etc..
