You can cut the rhizomes, leaving even 1-2 mesh, it is recommended to protect the cutting plane with a layer of powdered charcoal. Siberian iris (iris sibirica) it grows up to the height 60-120 cm, flowers are small, White, blue, Violet, leaves’ narrow, just like the eastern iris (Iris orientalis). The latter has outer perianth petals devoid of brushed hair and larger flowers.
